Design / Build

Should your project require professional design, we have two options for your consideration.
           

Independent Design

The first option is for you to hire an architect or designer who will essentially work independent from our firm but with whom we will stay in contact with for budgeting or consultation advice. We have several designer contacts with whom we’ve worked well and we’d be happy to refer one to you.

Design/build

The second option is to use the design/build method. This method allows for preliminary design, budgeting and final design phases to be handled under one roof. This is typically called a “turn-key approach” because all phases of the project fall under one company’s responsibility. There are many benefits to this approach:

  • All phases of the project are handled under one authority eliminating communications problems and confusion.
  • Allows for a more streamlined process.
  • Lower overall cost of the project.
  • “Turn-key” approach saves the owner time and coordination problems between different parties.
  • Typical design fees are usually less than more conventional methods.
  • Allows better project budgeting so that the budget and the design will match.
